As an insurance company, we charge fees, taxes, and contributions on your insurance policies.

Below, you will find an overview of the contributions and taxes we collect on behalf of the government, as well as the administrative fees we charge as an insurance provider.

Statutory fees and contributions to the state

Non-life insurance tax

The tax is determined by the state as a percentage of the cost of your non-life insurance. Certain types of insurance are exempt, including workers' compensation insurance, boat insurance, transport insurance, and mandatory motor liability insurance.

1.1% of the annual cost of your insurance policies.

Contribution to the Guarantee Fund for Non-Life Insurance Companies

We collect the contribution at each policy's main due date: 10 DKK.

The contribution is directed to the Guarantee Fund for Non-Life Insurance Companies, which protects consumers if their insurance company goes bankrupt.

Collection Fees:

Collection fees depend on the chosen payment method. The collection fee covers both the costs of Betalingsservice/Nets and the costs incurred by Dansk Sundhedssikring for the selected payment method.

  • If you pay via Betalingsservice, the collection fee is 10 DKK per payment.
  • If you pay via invoice, the fee is 50 DKK per payment.

Reminder Fee:

For late payments, we will send a reminder letter and charge a fee of 100 DKK for each reminder letter to cover additional administrative costs.

Cancellation and Reinstatement of Insurance:

  • Cancellation on the renewal date is free of charge; otherwise, an administration fee applies.

You can cancel your insurance free of charge once per year, one month before the policy renewal. For example, if your policy renews on August 1st, you must cancel by June 30th.

For the remainder of the year, you can cancel your insurance with one month's notice plus the current month, subject to an administration fee. This is typically 75 DKK. If you have held the insurance for less than a year, the fee will be higher, as outlined below.

If your insurance has been canceled, for example, due to non-payment, and both you and we wish to reinstate the insurance, we will charge a reinstatement fee.

If We Increase Our Fees

We reserve the right to increase existing fees or introduce new ones, for example, to cover increased costs for services such as collections, processing, and other services related to policy and claims management. We will increase an existing fee with one month's notice, effective from the first day of a month. New fees will be introduced with three months' notice, effective from the first day of a month. We will notify you of any fee increases and new fees via our website.
