The price is incl. 1,1 % statutory non-life insurance fee.
Additionally, 10 DKK per policy is charged on behalf of the Danish Guarantee Fund.

The insurance includes

Medical and surgical treatment

The insurance covers examination and treatment of illnesses within four areas:

  • Cancer
  • Cardiovascular disorders
  • Neurosurgical disorders
  • Transplants.

Treatment at a clinic abroad

Once the claim has been approved and the right treatment centre has been found, we coordinate and book the trip, and we also arrange transport to and from the treatment centre.

Post-treatment care

Medical post-treatment care will generally take place in the country of residence.

Examinations during treatment abroad

  • Doctor's visit
  • Laboratory tests
  • Imaging examinations (X-ray/scanning)
  • Medication and blood transfusions
  • Radiotherapy.

Second opinion

The insurance covers an impartial assessment and specialist examination within the four treatment areas.

Travelling companion during your stay abroad

The insurance covers accommodation and travelling expenses for one companion. If the patient is a child, accommodation and travelling expenses for two companions are covered.

Ambulance transport

If necessary, recumbent transport or ambulance transport can be arranged.

The insurance does not cover

  • Tumours associated with AIDS
  • Skin cancer in very early stages
  • Coronary artery disease that requires treatment other than bypass (e.g. stent or angioplasty)
  • Liver disease due to alcohol abuse
  • Autotransplantation (e.g. own skin)
  • Organ transplant from a deceased donor
  • Stem cell therapy
  • Assistive devices (e.g. prosthetics, orthotics or wigs).
